Dr. Clement Olufemi Adesigbin
Dr. Clement Olufemi Adesigbin is a medical officer with over eight years experience working in a public health institution – the National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Training Centre Zaria. He finished from Obafemi Awolowo University Ife Nigeria in 1997 with Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. He has over the years acquired additional training in various aspects on clinical as well as managerial aspect of TB/HIV control locally and internationally. These include, Management and Control of Leprosy and Tuberculosis, Monitoring and Evaluation of Training, Training on Adult Antiretroviral Therapy, Workshop on Human Resource Development (HRD) in TB/HIV/AIDS Programs, WHO Global Training course on TB and TB/HIV management to mention but a few. He has completed his course work in masters in public health in Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) Zaria.
Dr Clement has over the past eight years acquired experience in clinical management of chronic diseases especially, TB, TB/HIV and Leprosy, implementation of TB and leprosy programmes into the Primary Health (PHC), as well as building capacity (facilitation) of health workers nationwide working in TB, TB/HIV and Leprosy hospitals. He is the training coordinator.
His core expertise include: clinical management of TB, TB/HIV (TB Control), Human Resource Development for TB programmes, planning and implementing of DOTS services in resource constraint setting, TB/HIV collaborative activities and monitoring and evaluating of TB control programmes.
